Forgotten Crafts: Nature’s Imprint: Ecoprinting & Slow Art

During this 4-week workshop series with Nihan Elmacı Başaran, we will explore the world of ecoprinting. Learn to mindfully transfer the natural colours and shapes of leaves onto fabric, creating botanical patterns on delicate cotton muslin cloths. In a calm, Zen-inspired space, we will slow down and discover the creative power of plants.

The workshops take place on Tuesdays in November, from 10:00 to 12:00. They are conducted primarily in English, with clear instructions and simple Dutch translation available. Each session lasts 2 hours and is facilitated by Nihan Elmacı Başaran.

You can participate in all the workshops or just in some of the sessions. Each week we’ll work with the same technique on fine cotton muslin. Each time you’ll have the chance to practice that technique and create your own unique botanical design. Please register for each session separately!

Participation is free and registration is required. If you choose to purchase a donation ticket, you’ll be supporting Dokhuis and helping us keep other events free as well.
