Defiance (US) x Game Over (IT) + Support

Forty years of Bay Area thrash, in a room that holds a hundred people.

Defiance formed in Oakland in 1985, right at the heart of the Bay Area scene, and spent the turn of the nineties putting out three records that still get traded like currency: “Product of Society” (1989), “Void Terra Firma” (1990) and “Beyond Recognition” (1992). Technical, relentless thrash with a progressive streak — the sound of a band that could keep pace with anyone in that city and still write songs nobody else was writing.

They’ve been back since 2019 with Steev Esquivel (later of Skinlab) behind the microphone, and the World Recognition Tour 2026 brings them to Berlin.

Special guest Game over come from Ferrara, Italy — a Scarlet Records mainstay with four albums of fast, sharp, old-school thrash to their name.

Opening the night: Hexodeth, Berlin’s own, flying the flag for hometown thrash.

Three bands, one small room, zero compromise.
