aphex twin on accordion | avant-garde jazz | neo-classical | ambient noises
Yegor Zabelov — a Belarusian-born, Poland-based accordionist and composer. When you first hear him, it’s hard to believe it all comes from a single accordion. The instrument expands into something orchestral, physical and deeply immersive.
Zabelov approaches the accordion not as a traditional instrument, but as a limitless sound generator. His performances unfold as long-form sonic journeys, moving between minimalism, ambient trance, post-rave tension and avant-garde improvisation. The accordion breathes, rattles, whispers and surges in massive waves of sound, transforming each performance into an intense and immersive live experience.
>”Zabelov gives everything on stage — a single, uninterrupted piece of flowing, cinematic music that is captivating, exciting, and deeply moving.” — Der Spiegel
