Why the Eye is a masked band created in Brussels in 2013 around DjP’s surprising instruments.
The trio in strange, furry masks deliver hypnotic, raw music. They describe it as “Prehistoric Techno”. Their tribal-noisy-experimental decoction shakes bodies into a trance. Low-fi and hairy results guaranteed! The distinctive hues of the homemade instruments and the haunting rhythms played without programming take the audience into a wild, organic experience.

Formed in Taipei in 2016, Dope Purple are a Taiwanese psychedelic/noise rock band built around a five-piece lineup. Driven by furious guitar noise and soaring saxophone, the band takes listeners on a chaotic Eastern psychedelic journey. Their performances are characterized by extended, highly ritualistic passages that gradually build into a cathartic climax of fractured guitar noise and psychedelic intensity.
Beyond their own music, Dope Purple are committed to promoting Taiwan’s underground rock culture. They have organized the Taipei Psychedelic Rock Festival three times, bringing together artists from Taiwan, Japan, and beyond. Through their music, performances, and festival activities, Dope Purple have established themselves as one of the leading representatives of Taiwan’s heavy psychedelic underground.
