Luke Marantz & Friends

Op initiatief van drummer en componist Sun Mi Hong komt de New Yorkse pianist Luke Marantz naar Splendor voor een bijzondere muzikale ontmoeting met Sun Mi, bassist Zack Lober, saxofonisten Ben van Gelder en Michael Moore.

Luke Marantz is an internationally acclaimed pianist and composer based in Brooklyn, New York. Described by NPR as “among the best young American jazz pianists”, DownBeat Magazine as “a pianist who paints at the keyboard with musicality” and Paris Move as “among the most quietly compelling voices shaping the future contours of contemporary jazz”.

Dit concert brengt een aantal van Luke’s oude en nieuwe vrienden uit de lokale muziekscene samen op het podium; ze spelen elkaars composities.

At the initiative of drummer and composer Sun-Mi Hong, New York pianist Luke Marantz comes to Splendor for a special musical encounter with Sun-Mi, bassist Zack Lober, and saxophonists Ben van Gelder and Michael Moore.
